ISLAMABAD—Alibaba.com has unveiled a full suite of online-logistics-services designed to support Pakistani exporters in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of their global trade operations.
The new offering is aimed at helping Pakistani businesses—especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—overcome long-standing challenges in international logistics and fully capitalize on the booming cross-border e-commerce sector.
In a statement issued on Friday, Alibaba.com highlighted that while global trade presents immense opportunities, Pakistani SMEs often struggle with the complexities of shipping, cost management, and delivery timelines. The logistics solution seeks to address these issues by streamlining the export process and providing reliable, cost-effective shipping options.
To facilitate this, Alibaba.com has partnered with leading global express delivery providers, enabling exporters in Pakistan to ship products to over 200 countries and regions worldwide. The platform’s logistics services integrate the entire supply chain—from packaging and warehousing to delivery—offering real-time order tracking and customs support.
Recognizing logistics as a major bottleneck for Pakistani exporters, Alibaba.com aims to minimize delivery delays and reduce associated risks, ultimately helping businesses improve their global competitiveness.
Speaking at the launch, Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain at Alibaba.com, emphasized the importance of logistics innovation for SMEs. She noted that digital logistics solutions simplify export operations, cut down expenses, and empower businesses to expand into international markets with greater confidence.
“With advanced technology and end-to-end support, Alibaba.com enables Pakistani SMEs to enhance their competitiveness, ensure on-time deliveries, and respond more efficiently to global demand,” Gao said.
As a leading business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform, Ali-baba continues to play a pivotal role in promoting global trade for emerging markets like Pakistan.
