Muzaffarabad: In a major breakthrough in the region’s fight against narcotics, Saddar Police Station’s SHO Chaudhry Naveed-ul-Hasan and his team successfully seized 7 kilograms of high-grade hashish and apprehended a suspect.
The operation was conducted under the ongoing anti-drug initiative spearheaded by SSP Riaz Bukhari and DSP Raja Faisal Shafiq. Acting on a credible tip-off, the team—led by SHO Naveed-ul-Hasan and including Investigation Officer Mir Tanveer Salharia, DFCs Mir Jameel Salharia, Imran Yousaf, and Sabir Sheikh—launched the targeted raid.
The suspect, identified as Danish Shah, son of Vilayat Shah, originally from Lwat, District Neelum, and currently residing in Dheriyan Bumbiyan, Muzaffarabad, was caught in possession of 7 kilograms of premium-quality “Garda” hashish.
Police have registered a case under the Anti-Narcotics Act and taken the suspect into custody. Authorities confirm that the investigation is ongoing, with potential leads pointing toward a larger drug trafficking ring.
