Mirpur (Hayat News) In Mirpur district, the Food Authority team led by District Food Controller Mirpur Syed Adnan Ali Naqvi, on the instructions of the Supreme Court of Azad Kashmir, seized 2000 kilograms of substandard, defective, smelly and unidentified unhealthy dairy cream (upper) and 15 liters of substandard and defective milk at Mangla entry point and destroyed them on the spot and imposed a fine of 80 thousand.
The estimated value of the destroyed dairy products was 20 lakh 3 thousand 3 hundred. This upper and milk were being illegally brought from Pakistan to Azad Kashmir district Mirpur despite the ban.
The action was carried out in the presence of Food Technologist Muhammad Jalil, Assistant Food Safety Officers Asif Riaz, Shahryar Khan and police. District Food Controller Mirpur Syed Adnan Naqvi, while speaking on the occasion, said that providing quality and safe food to the citizens is our top priority. No one will be allowed to supply substandard or illegal food to the citizens.
The Food Authority is active day and night to ensure that only quality and healthy food reaches the public.
