Rawalpindi: The three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka got underway on Friday, with the visitors winning the toss in the opening game and opting to bat first.
At the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the Sri Lankan captain called correctly at the toss and chose to set a target, sending the home side out to field first in the series opener.

Pakistan handed debuts to two new faces — Muhammad Imran and Razaullah both make their T20I debuts today. Led by captain Sahibzada Farhan, the playing eleven also features Fakhar Zaman, Muaz Sadaqat, Hasan Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Khawaja Nafay, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed.
Sri Lanka, captained by Kusal Mendis, fielded Lahiru Udara, Kamil Mishara, Kamindu Mendis, Sahan Arachchige, Dasun Shanaka, Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Ishan Malinga and Nuwan Thushara.
