Muzaffarabad (Hayat News) Food Authority Muzaffarabad sealed a hotel and a godown for poor cleanliness. Fines and corrective notices were issued for violation of food safety laws.
According to the details, Assistant Food Safety Officer Qazi Shafiqur-ur-Rehman, along with Food Authority team Syed Mohib Ali Naqvi and others, conducted a detailed inspection of hotels, grocery stores and general stores on Jalalabad and Tariqabad Road. During the inspection, cleanliness, hygiene of workers, quality of food items and food handling procedures were checked.
During the inspection, dirty utensils, poor cleanliness and substandard hygiene of workers were found in a hotel in Jalalabad.
Violation of quality in food items was also noted, on the basis of which the hotel and godown were immediately sealed. Correction notices and fines were issued to other food points to ensure complete compliance with future food safety laws.
District Food Controller Muzaffarabad Abrar Ahmed Mir said that public health is our top priority and actions will continue to prevent poor sanitation and substandard food items. If citizens observe any substandard food points or poor sanitation, they should immediately report it on helpline number 1280.
