Khari Sharif (Hayat News) In the history of Kashmir, the people of Pakhradal and Khari Sharif staged a massive protest in front of the house of the Chichiyan family. In the village of Pakhradal, a suburb of Khari Sharif, the people staged a massive protest due to the transformer being out of order for seven consecutive days.

The people of Pakhradal and Khari Sharif, who were harassed by the electricity, blocked the road in front of the house of the Chichiyan family, while a bitter exchange of words took place between former assembly candidate Raja Zaheer-ul-Haq Pakhradalvi and PRO/Minister for Electricity Dr. Maroof. According to the details, the transformer of Pakhradal village was malfunctioning for the last seven days, due to which the local population faced severe difficulties.

The people say that the damaged transformer could not be repaired due to the incompetence of the Minister of Electricity, on which the angry people, led by former assembly candidate Raja Zaheer and councilor Raja Sarwar Khan, staged a sit-in in front of Chechian House and protested vigorously. During the protest, former assembly candidate Raja Zaheer-ul-Haq Pakhra Alvi severely criticized the Minister of Electricity, Dr. Maroof, and held him responsible for ignoring the problems of the people.

In response, the representatives of the Minister of Electricity claimed that steps were being taken to repair the transformer, but the people insist that their problems are being continuously ignored. The locals demand that the transformer be repaired or replaced immediately; otherwise, the protest campaign will be intensified.

Finally, the SD Electricity and SHO Afzalpur police station held talks with the protesters, and on the assurance of restoring electricity by evening, the protest was ended and the road was opened for traffic.
