In Lahore: Glamorous scenes swept across Lahore as the Pakistan Army’s The United States brokered a truce between the two neighboring nations after a violent increase in hostilities, setting the stage for the festivities.
Earlier that day, Lahore launched its first missile attack, targeting the Sundar Industrial Estate. Authorities are relieved to report that no one was hurt or killed when the rocket detonated and buried itself. The public, however, was first furious due to what they perceived as a tardy reaction to India’s “Operation Sindoor.” That sentiment shifted dramatically as the military launched a well-organized counterattack on Indian military targets in “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.”
Claiming vengeance for the deaths of helpless children in earlier drone and missile strikes, the military made their announcement. A lot of Pakistani people reacted by sharing photos of military convoys online and yelling patriotic slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Army Paindabad.” Protests across the city showcased an unprecedented display of national unity, transcending partisan divides.

Even though India has suffered a huge defeat, rallygoers believe that the diplomatic front must now take center stage. It was urged that the Indus Waters Treaty be restored and that Indian-occupied Kashmir be granted its own legal status.
An ironic aspect of the situation, according to one participant, was that it united the people of Pakistan. He pointed out, “Modi’s haughtiness has enabled us to remain united across party lines.”
Many people, including government officials, members of the public, and members of civil society, have spoken highly about the military. Maryam Nawaz, chief minister of Punjab; Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif; and Nawaz Sharif, former prime minister, were among the notable personalities who expressed their admiration and pride in the military. Soldiers were welcomed with floral arrangements and garlands all around Punjab.

Students have demanded that the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) not postpone their exams but instead hold them as scheduled, with airports reopening and classrooms resuming.
Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, authorized the disbursement of two billion rupees to strengthen the province’s emergency readiness. The district administrations were given strict instructions and a budget that was meant for volunteer training and security. The goal was to make sure that essential supplies like food, fuel, and medication were available.
Despite the ceasefire, the Punjab Home Department has ordered rescue teams, civil defense, and law enforcement to be on high alert. Everyone should stay indoors, not travel unless absolutely necessary, and not share photos or videos that reveal the whereabouts or movements of security officers online.
