ISLAMABAD (Hayat News): In a major step to support young Pakistanis pursuing employment abroad, the government has introduced a new initiative under the PM Youth Programme. The scheme will provide interest-free loans of up to Rs 1 million to 100,000 individuals planning to work overseas.
An official source confirmed that the financial package is designed to cover a range of essential expenses, including travel allowances, visa processing fees, skills development training, and initial settlement costs in the destination country.
The loan will come with a convenient repayment plan, allowing beneficiaries to repay the amount in equal monthly instalments over a period of 7 to 8 years.
To qualify, applicants must be between 21 and 45 years old and must have either secured a job offer or been recruited through an authorised Overseas Employment Promoter.
This initiative aims to empower the country’s youth by facilitating access to global job markets, thereby contributing to national economic development. “By easing the financial burden and enhancing employability, the government is helping young people seize better career prospects abroad,” the official stated.
The program is expected to positively impact the lives of thousands, offering them a pathway to financial independence and global exposure. “This move highlights the government’s dedication to nurturing future generations and fostering sustainable economic growth,” he added.
By investing in its youth, Pakistan hopes to cultivate a more skilled workforce and stimulate increased economic activity, positioning its citizens to thrive on the international stage.
