Islamabad (Hayat News): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on assuming charge as Pakistan’s first-ever Chief of Defence Forces.
Calling the appointment a historic step for the nation’s security framework, the Prime Minister said Field Marshal Munir represents “a beacon of stability for Pakistan and the wider region.” He added that the decision reflects the leadership’s determination to ensure a robust and unified defence structure.
PM Rathore expressed confidence that Pakistan’s defence capabilities will strengthen further under Field Marshal Munir’s seasoned leadership. Highlighting his distinguished career, he noted that the Field Marshal has consistently exhibited “remarkable professionalism, strategic insight, and exemplary leadership qualities.”
“We firmly believe Pakistan’s defence is in capable and trusted hands,” he remarked.
The Prime Minister also congratulated Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu on the extension of his tenure, acknowledging his effective command.
Recalling the Pakistan Air Force’s performance in the recent conflict, PM Rathore said the PAF displayed outstanding operational excellence by downing six Indian aircraft, including a Rafale jet, in a swift and decisive response, underscoring its superior combat readiness.
