Lahore (Hayat News) The construction of a safety dam for residents on the Ravi River was inaugurated. The foundation stone of the construction of a safety dam was laid with a private housing society on the banks of the Ravi, which will be completed in 100 days.
The construction of a 40-foot wide and 7-kilometer long dam has been started on the Ravi River. According to the media report, the management of the private housing society will build the safety dam with its own resources.
According to the housing society management, the safety dam will be a masterpiece of beautiful construction for the residents, cycling and jogging tracks will be built on the safety dam for the citizens, security cameras and lights will be arranged on the safety dam.
According to the private housing society, the dam will ensure the safety of the entire area from floods. According to the administration, the affected members will now get a relief package of Rs 1 billion to protect them. If more funds are needed, the administration is also ready for that.
Society officers will go to people’s homes and give them relief packages. According to the administration, development charges have been waived for 2 months in 5 flood-affected blocks.
