Lakki Marwat: At least seven police officials, including the Station House Officer (SHO) of Shadi Khel Police Station, were martyred after an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat.

According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, the blast struck a police mobile unit during routine duty. Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene following the explosion, and the injured personnel were rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Those who lost their lives in the attack include SHO Sadr Azam, driver Shah Behram, and constables Shah Khalid, Haji Muhammad, Gul Zada, Sakhi Zada, and Insaf Uddin.
Following the incident, Shahid Afridi strongly condemned the attack and sought a comprehensive report from the inspector general of police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He termed the loss of the officers deeply tragic and reaffirmed that the provincial government stands firmly with the families of the fallen personnel.
The chief minister also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and instructed authorities to ensure that those injured receive the best possible medical treatment. He emphasized that acts of terrorism would not undermine the government’s determination to continue its fight against militancy.
