ISLAMABAD (Hayat News): FOSPAH has successfully resolved an inheritance dispute filed by Ms. Huma Maqbool against her two brothers and mother over her legal share in her late father’s property located at House 178, Street 91, Sector I-8/4, Islamabad.

After receiving the complaint, FOSPAH ensured that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) formally transferred the property to all rightful heirs. With the documentation completed, FOSPAH began mediating between the family members. The main conflict centered around determining the accurate market value of the property.

To guarantee transparency, FOSPAH appointed a local commission to conduct an independent valuation. The property was valued at Rs 10 crore, a figure accepted by all parties. They later recorded a joint statement agreeing to settle the matter peacefully.

As per the agreement, Ms. Huma Maqbool received her full rightful share of Rs 1 crore 75 lakh. After receiving the amount, she submitted a statement in favor of her brother, Mr. Asim Maqbool, confirming the transfer of her portion.

This case highlights FOSPAH’s strong commitment to protecting women’s inheritance rights—an area where women are frequently deprived of what the law grants them. Beyond legal support, FOSPAH continues to offer mediation, counseling, and a safe platform for women to claim their rights without intimidation or pressure.

Safeguarding women’s property rights remains vital for strengthening their economic autonomy and dignity, and FOSPAH remains firm in upholding these principles.
