Muzaffarabad (Hayat News) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Food Authority Muzaffarabad conducted a detailed inspection of various ice cream factories in the inner city. The cleanliness of various flavors, colors, and raw materials used in the preparation of ice cream was checked.
Fines and corrective notices were issued to factory owners for poor hygiene and poor raw materials used in ice cream.
It should be remembered that ice cream made from poor raw materials is harmful to human health. Children suffer from throat and chest infections due to the use of unregistered and unhealthy ice cream. The industrial colors and chemicals included in them can affect the digestive system.
The action was taken under the Food Authority Act 2017 and Pure Food Regulation 2019. Food Authority officials said that the public should take special care of their packaging, ingredients, and registration while buying food items.
District Food Controller Abrar Ahmed Mir said that no one will be allowed to play with human health in Azad Kashmir, and strict action will be taken against such elements to ensure the provision of quality, safe, and healthy food to the citizens. The business of unregistered and unhealthy items is against the Food Authority Act.
