Mirpur (Hayat News) On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Yasir Riaz, Pawanda Water Rescue teams have been busy in rescuing flood victims in Sialkot, Narowal, LoC and other places in the flood-affected areas of Punjab for the past several days.
Thousands of people, valuables and animals trapped in the flood are being taken to safe places through water boats and arrangements are also being made for their food and drink.
The flood victims and the rescued families thanked Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Yasir Riaz for sending the Pawanda Water Rescue Team to their area and said that God will reward them for the way the Pawanda Water Rescue Team is providing welfare services to the flood victims. He added that the Pawanda Rescue teams not only saved the residents trapped in the flood but also their valuables and livestock.
We are grateful to the government of Azad Kashmir and especially the Mirpur administration for their support in this difficult time and for saving the lives of thousands of people. Meanwhile, Ali Ahmed, in-charge of the Pawanda Water Rescue Team, said that the Pawanda Water Rescue Teams are involved in rescue operations day and night in flood-affected areas and during this time, we have witnessed unbearable incidents.
He said that during the rescue operation, we have rescued people climbing trees, animals drowning in water, and valuables from people’s homes. Food and drinks are also being provided to the rescued people, while other facilities will also be provided.
Our first priority is to save the people trapped in the flood. This operation will continue until all the people are rescued. He asked the philanthropists to come forward to help the people trapped in the flood in Punjab at this time so that practical help can be provided to the flood victims.
