Free Gemini AI Pro:
Google has unveiled a new initiative offering Pakistani students aged 18 and above a free one-year subscription to its Gemini AI Pro Plan, giving them access to the tech giant’s most advanced AI tools to boost learning, research, and creativity.
According to Google’s announcement, eligible students will be able to use Gemini 2.5 Pro, the company’s latest and most powerful AI model, equipped with features like Deep Research — designed to support academic writing, research projects, and creative tasks.
The Gemini Pro Plan also brings AI directly into Google Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet, allowing students to summarise emails, create presentations, and analyse data more efficiently.
Participants will further benefit from NotebookLM, Google’s AI-powered research and writing assistant, now upgraded with five times more Audio Overviews and Notebooks for personalised learning support.
In addition, users can generate dynamic videos from text and photos using the enhanced Veo 3 and Flow tools, and enjoy 2 TB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos to safely store notes, assignments, and multimedia projects.
Google stated that the initiative reflects its global commitment to equipping students with cutting-edge AI resources that foster innovation and academic excellence.
The Gemini AI Pro for Students program is being rolled out across several Asia-Pacific countries, including Pakistan. Eligible university students can register online to claim their free one-year access and begin exploring Google’s next-generation AI capabilities.
