Mirpur (Hayat News) Assistant Commissione Mirpur Raja Zahid Hussain Khan’s tough action, two trucks of substandard and unhealthy juices were seized, according to the details, last night, Assistant Commissioner Mirpur was informed by SHO Police Station Afzalpur that two suspicious trucks were going towards Pakistan at a high speed on the way to Jatlan Ali Baig.
On which, Assistant Commissioner Mirpur directed to stop these trucks, and in addition to asking for documents from the crew of the said trucks, he conducted an inquiry about the goods. During the inquiry, it was revealed that these trucks had a large number of cartons of juices which were also being transported to Pakistan.
When the truck crew was asked about the invoices and other documents, it was revealed that they did not have the relevant documents. On this, the Assistant Commissioner Mirpur immediately transferred the trucks to the relevant police station and contacted the officials of the Food Authority Mirpur to conduct an immediate laboratory test. Today, the officials of the Food Authority Mirpur will inform about the said juices.
According to the test report received, these juices are substandard and harmful to health. The juices in these two trucks have been seized by the Food Authority Mirpur and samples are being sent for testing to a major laboratory in Pakistan for further research.
In another action today, while acting on public complaints, the Assistant Commissioner Mirpur along with Tehsildar Mirpur Chaudhry Imran Yousuf and Naib Tehsildar Mirpur Raja Ijaz Hussain inspected the butcher shops located in Nangi Bazaar and Fazil Chowk and fined those charging excessive prices.
