The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday unveiled a six-member commentary panel for Pakistan’s home ODI tri-series against England and Sri Lanka, which gets underway today (Sunday) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The white-ball series, running from October 18 to October 31, brings the three sides together in a round-robin format, with the top two teams contesting the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. The tri-series is being billed as an important stepping stone in Pakistan’s preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Star-studded commentary team
The commentary box will feature a blend of Pakistani experience, visiting voices and international perspective. Former Pakistan players Waqar Younis, Aamir Sohail, Bazid Khan and Urooj Mumtaz have been named on the panel, alongside Sri Lankan commentator Roshan Abeysinghe and former England cricketer Mark Butcher.
Waqar Younis will join the panel from the second fixture on October 20, when Pakistan take on England in Rawalpindi, while Bazid Khan will be available only for the opening match. Broadcaster Zainab Abbas will serve as the series presenter.

Series opener today
The tournament begins with a curtain-raiser between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi today. Pakistan will look to make a flying start on home soil, while Sri Lanka will aim to spoil the party in the first of their two group-stage meetings.
