Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has initiated the third phase of the Super Seeder Scheme, aimed at combating smog and promoting environmental sustainability.
As part of this phase, the government plans to distribute 2,000 Super Seeders before the wheat sowing season begins in October. According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, this technology helps incorporate paddy crop residues into the soil, reducing pollution caused by burning stubble.
To assist farmers, a toll-free helpline (0800-17000) has been set up for inquiries and guidance.
